Bio: Gabriel Lochard (they/he) is an artist who chooses to live and create at the vibrant intersection of sound, spirit, and movement. They are a singer, pianist, dancer, composer, conductor, improviser, and theater artist whose work weaves together the technical brilliance of opera and classical music with the improvisational freedom of jazz and folk, alongside a deeply experimental and exploratory approach to physical theater. But for Gabriel, the performance is only half the story. As a passionate educator and practitioner, he views every note and every gesture as an act of spirituality and a step toward collective liberation. Gabriel’s creative north star is the belief that music, dance, and storytelling are tools for our shared freedom. They are the founder of the newly forming Indigo Opera Theater.
